Renter Advocacy

Here is the video for Update on Request for More Resources for Renters, from the 2022-Feb-28 Select Board meeting: https://youtu.be/LqeZeYMC6DE?t=10092

Some highlights: The new email address, tenantsupport@actonma.gov, and the hotline at 978-929-6600, have been used by four different tenants looking for help. The Town Manager made clear that residents can also use the email address to send general suggestions, ideas, and questions about the support of renters to the inter-departmental team that has been assembled to look into tenant support issues.

The page of tenant resources at https://actonma.gov/748/Tenant-Resources has been updated a couple of times since it was released.

You may also want to check out the beginning of the meeting, where some people shared good points about increasing our ability to support renters during the ‘Resident Concerns’ agenda item.
