Continue reading “Endorsement: Peter Berry”In these times of strong differences of opinion on the national level, the people we elect on the local level have become so much more important. Having someone on the Board of Selectmen that can listen to all sides and bring people together to address local issues is essential. Jim Snyder-Grant has demonstrated that kind of leadership in all the initiatives he takes on. He works constructively to find out what is important to people—even those who do not usually participate in town issues, working proactively to make sure as many voices as possible are heard. Members of the Board have a difficult task—they need to develop their own viewpoint, but they also need to effectively dialogue, educate, and compromise with others to work together for the good of all the people. Jim Snyder-Grant is the person who can do that well. Please join me in voting for Jim on Tuesday, March 31st.

I am supporting Jim Snyder-Grant who is running for the Acton Board of Selectmen. Serving as a Selectman has become far more demanding now than when I was a member of the Board back in the 90’s. Today’s elected officials face ever increasing challenges due to the limited resources and the greater demands being made on government. It takes a specific person with time, interest, energy, and skills to focus on the issues and embrace this challenge. Jim is that person.
